 | | John Ertz, CLU, Managing Partner  Managing Partner John Ertz came to the Cleveland Office of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network after four years as Assistant Director of Agency Development at Northwestern Mutual’s corporate office. He began his career in 1984 as a college intern with the Kansas City Network Office, moving to full-time status after his 1988 graduation from the University of Kansas.
In 1994, John was promoted to the Kansas City Network Office management team as a Field Director and Agency Supervisor. Over the next six years, his team earned numerous awards and became one of the top-producing Field Director units in the country. In fact, this group led the company in its category during both 1999 and 2000. Before transitioning to the corporate office, John worked as Assistant Managing Partner, playing a key role in training, representative and agency planning, and day-to-day operations.
John Ertz and his wife, Kimberly, have two children and reside in Shaker Heights. In his off hours, John enjoys spending time with his family, golf, reading, movies and following Kansas Jayhawks basketball.
